Happy - Framed Art Paper Print

I was accepted to create an original painting to benefit the PFLAG Organization, which provides resources to the LGBTQ+ community and their parents. The painting was inspired by Ellen Woods gorgeous flower photography. Since my work is often conceptual, I researched photographs that portray the LGBTQ+ community as well as images of happiness, serenity and fulfillment, which I transferred onto the canvas as my first layer. I then sketched the general layout of the photograph but chose to interpret the leaves and pedals in a more graphic style. The result is this multi-layered painting that I am very excited to share with you. I hope you like it as much as I had fun creating it.
